Gina G. Kessler, D.D.S., M.S.

With a successful private dental practice she shares with her husband, a new home just four blocks from the office in the beautiful Stapleton development, two children, two cats, and a new puppy, Dr. Gina Kessler's days are full. As a member of the parent committee at her daughter Abbey's school and a soon-to-be Girl Scout troop leader in her community, Gina is happy to call herself a "soccer mom."

The oldest of six children, Gina grew up in Granville, Illinois; a small town of just 1300 people. Her interest in dentistry developed after she spent three years in braces as a teenager, emerging with more than just straight and beautiful teeth. Gina's new smile inspired her to notice the smiles of others, knowing how her own smile had been improved by orthodontics.

When she entered college at the University of Illinois, she did so as an aero-engineering major with aspirations to become an astronaut. As a junior, Gina decided that aero-engineering wasn't her calling and changed her major to Biology. Her interest in orthodontics had never quite faded, and though her own orthodontist discouraged dentistry as a career path, Gina pressed on anyway. She finished her dental training in Illinois and picked up a husband along the way. It was during her time in the College of Dentistry that Gina met Brett. The two married shortly before graduation.

Gina served a one-year residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. The experience gained there helped her to manage dental emergencies and patients with disabilities, as well as helped confirm her decision to enter orthodontics instead of general dentistry. Following her residency, Gina was accepted into the University of Michigan's Masters Program in Orthodontics. She and Brett lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan during her post-graduate studies, relocating to Denver, Colorado in 2000.

In Denver, Gina spent six months caring for their new daughter Abbey before returning to work, joining a practice in the area. In 2003, she and Brett opened their Town Center Dentistry and Orthodontics, located in the East 29th Avenue Town Center at Stapleton in Denver, Colorado. Gina now divides her time between their new practice and her main career as full time Mom to Abbey and two-year old Max.

Gina and Brett both take part in a monthly interdisciplinary study group with other local dentists to discuss cases and support one another in recommendations for treatment. The two are active in community service and help raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Gina has also returned to ballet, something she started at age three and continued through college as a member of the dance team. After taking some time off during her pregnancies, she has picked up her ballet shoes and enrolled Abbey as well.

At Town Center Dentistry and Orthodontics, Gina and Brett work together to provide their patients with the highest quality care and treatment, concentrating on the importance of their whole-health approach to dentistry.
